5 Month Catch Up

A lot has happened in the last 5 months...

APRIL

We met the President of the United States ...again!

Emmie can't believe it either!

He came from behind the curtain and went strait to Callie to shake her hand. She was bright red.

The Today Show- Perks of being tall.

(Video) He came back by and shook our hands on the way out as well. Very cool.

Emmalyn Turned 1 year old!

JUNE

We bought our first house! And love it!

View from our dining room. We will be sad when they build in the lot behind us.

We got a furry new member of the family.

We named her Snowflake but Drake later decided he wanted to call her Whiskers...sooo we mainly just call her "Kitty"

Drake got his first car

They drive a block down to the mailbox every day.

JULY

Utah Family Reunion

We spent the week of 4th of July in Hennifer UT for a Family Reunion on Jordan's Mom's side of the family.

Spent some time in beautiful Park City, UT...

...and Salt Lake City

Drake had a blast with his Anderson cousins.

Jordan turned the big 3 0

Matchbox Twenty and Goo Goo Dolls

Kami was awesome and treated us to a Matchbox 20 and Goo Goo Dolls concert at Fiddler's Green for our 30th birthdays. We had a blast with her and Rich.

AUGUST

Emmie and Drake saved the world a few times...

...and Kitty is growing like a weed whilst up to her normal mischief.

Drake became best friends with the boy two doors down. They are only 1 month apart and are inseparable.

Callie finally got her piano!!!

Emmie is walking and is still a silly goose.

SEPTEMBER

Drake started preschool and is loving it.

Callie Turns the Big 3 0 Tomorrow!

Spring Break

We were lucky enough to take a road trip to California and meet up with some of Jordan's siblings and their families. 

Our first stop on the trip was Las Vegas. Drake has loved the Vegas Strip since he was tiny and is always asking to go:

This was our view from the water wall, we felt like we were in a Bond film!

Our favorite spot on the strip is the Bellagio Gardens and Fountains. It was decorated for spring with lady bugs , butterflies and swans made out of flowers.

The next day we made the beautiful drive into San Luis Obispo, CA:

Drake's first time seeing the ocean -- Avila Beach

Avila Beach had a little farmer's market complete with amazing fresh fruit and a free petting zoo for the kids.

Emmalyn wasn't sure what to think of the beach other than the sand was apparently delicious  

Drake on the other hand was on cloud-nine and never wanted to leave.

One of the nights we got to go to San Luis Obispo's Street Fair. 

The entire street had huge beautiful trees hanging over it.

We stopped by "Bubble Gum Alley" ...which is just what it sounds like.

We all left our mark.

Even though none of us ever wanted to leave we had to say our goodbyes and hit the road again.

Our last stop was Springville, UT to see Callie's Grandparents and Aunt and Uncle:

Grandpa Ernie set up an Easter Egg Dying Table for Drake...

...but it was really for the "Adults"

Even though we were driving all over the West, the Easter Bunny still tracked us down at Grandma's house.
