The Big One!

We made it! A full year of diaper changes, midnight feedings, spit-up, throw-up, and the most precious moments of our life. Drake turned 1 last week! We started the celebration a week early when we took a trip down to Canon City to visit Grandma and Grandpa A. Grandpa A's birthday was the 23rd of February so we took them out to dinner to celebrate. Grandma surprised Grandpa and Drake with a Cars birthday cake for them to share. The cake was adorable it had a Grandpa tow truck and the little red car for Drake (sorry I have not seen the movie so I am not sure what their official names are). Drake had a good time opening presents and visiting with Grandma and Grandpa's cats.
Then we had a pizza party on the 8th with the Tarullo clan and Aunt Kami. Drake had lots of great birthday fun with his Aunts, Uncles, great-aunt, Grandma T, Grandpa T, and all of his cousins. He wasn't so big on his birthday cake though. He didn't like getting his hands dirty, so that was short lived.
Ironically we didn't do any celebrating on his actual birthday because the poor little guy was sick with a nasty sore throat. So we took him in for his annual check up and the Doctor said that he needed to have Popsicles! He enjoyed his first Popsicle immensely. His official stats from the Doc were: Height 31 inches (85%)
Weight 20 lbs. 11 oz. (20%)

What a wonderful year it has been, Drake has been such a great blessing in our lives. We are so excited to continue to watch him learn and grow.
